MathType description:
MathType is a powerful interactive utility that will revolutionize the way you create print and web-based documents that contain math.
MathType works with any word processor, presentation program, page layout program, HTML-authoring tool, plus other types of software, to create equations for research papers, class materials, web pages, slide presentations, journal articles and books.
Note: Some antivirus and antispyware programs flag MathType as being infected/malware, although the application is perfectly safe and does not pose a threat to your system. This is called a 'false positive'. The term false positive is used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous ( inoffensive ) file as a virus. klarre said: Very good except that it is not free. The quality is good enugh to use in Adobe InDesign and in real prints. A must if you need to do mathematical formulas and don't want to use TeX.
